About the Role
BOXX Insurance is a fast-growing Canadian Insurtech company, helping businesses and families stay ahead of cyber risks with Cyberboxx, its break-through product suite. The company is also expanding internationally. Due to continued growth in Canada, BOXX is looking for talented Business Development Managers to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for growth-oriented individuals, who align their success with that of our broker partners and their customers.
Business Development at BOXX is about building engaging relationships with our brokers and partners and making their lives simpler when it comes to cyber insurance to protect their customers. This is a timely opportunity for an insurance or sales professional who is ‘going places’ to step up and gain broader exposure and autonomy under the umbrella of the fast-building BOXX brand.
You will work closely with the Canadian operations and underwriting teams to accelerate BOXX’s presence, growth and underwriting success. In addition, you will be responsible for managing stake-holder relationships with capacity providers in Lloyd’s of London and in Canada.
Identity, acquire and develop new brokerage relationships
Identify opportunities for growth with new and existing broker partners to meet company goals
Manage day to day relationships with BOXX’s broker partners including identifying opportunities for growth with new and existing broker partners
Maintain a deep understanding of our solutions and be a sounding board for brokers about the most relevant features/functionality for their specific needs
Meet targets for qualified opportunities, value of sales pipeline and closed business
Report, track, and manage sales activities and results
Identify and resolve roadblocks to brokers achieving their success with BOXX
Monitor performance and identify trends in BOXX adoption and utilization
Skills & Qualifications:
University degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 3 years of business development experience, ideally in the insurance industry
RIBO licence preferred
Ability to demonstrate successful account management, including building, maintaining and managing B2B2B relationships
Self-motivated and entrepreneurial spirit
Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal & written)
Proven ability to successfully negotiate on all levels
Attention for detail and demonstrated flexibility in managing multiple clients at a time
